One fateful night in early 2021, after finishing up some recordings for a friend's virtual conducting recital, I decided the lighting was too good for me to leave behind so soon. Naturally, I picked out a few old tops and the 2% energy I had left in my body to do a simple lipsync of The Schuyler Sisters. Of course one video wasn't enough, so I made three. I sat on my parents' bathroom floor for an additional hour, and I think it was worth the numbness.

Sometimes while listening to music, I sing other songs to myself to mashups people will never hear. It's probably why I get distracted too quickly sometimes, but that's besides the point. I wrote down the lyrics to Taylor's gold rush and squeezed in some lines from Lorde's Green Light, re-imagining these queen-birthed songs as a duet of two hopeless romantics who look up to each other and fail to see it.

Not quite a personal work, but I didn't want to sneak it in the front page! Here's an audition introduction video I put together for UPSA's "audition kit" that was sent out to prospective auditionees back in October 2021.
